I am having a similar problem on Windows XP x64. When I try to run the.exe, it gives me a message saying: Acronis True Image has encountered an error and needs to close. You need to restart your computer to complete the operation.
I downloaded the exe version of the program, and the software crashed. Then Acronis tried to open it again. I received an error message stating that the program could not be opened. I assumed that the download was corrupted, so I tried to reinstall the program by clicking the Download image button, but the download did not work.
I've tried to install some of your products and downloads, but they didn't work for me. Acronis 2011 was the only one that worked, but it had a problem when I tried to create a new image that the software would not close after finishing creating the image. I tried to "Uninstall" the product and that also had problems.
I said ok. He then hung up the phone. I thought to myself, this is it guys, Acronis true image 2013 won't activate unless I pay $200. Then I started to really freak out. I rang Acronis home and small business support again, 021 9664 6501. I got right through to Nate. I described the problem. He told me he hadn't touched my case in 3 weeks, and I had to ring the tech support number again. I then spent another 45 minutes on the phone trying to convince the techs on this number that I was on a live connection not some VoIP scam.
Eventually I got through to a guy called Andrew. He told me that he was aware of the issue and that he would escalate it. He never called me back. I then rang the home and small business support number again. I explained the problem. Andrew said that they would call me back, but never rang. So I rang Acronis support again. I told Nate that I spent more than an hour on the phone trying to convince them it was a live number. I spent more than an hour with the sales team, and their response was: 3d9ccd7d82
